Member Transfers

 

Current members must update their: Name, mailing address Email address and phone number by submitting a Member Information Change Form online.  You will need your membership ID number.

 

Veterans applying for transfers from their current post to our post (179) must submit the following:

     a.  Complete Member Data Form
     b.  Copy of DD214 or discharge papers
     c.  Copy of current American Legion membership card or membership number

Submit hard copies to:

Include current years dues (if not paid), or next year's membership dues if due; or submit all documents via email to ALPost179Adjutant@Gmail.com and mail your payment identifying when you emailed your documents.

New Membership

Membership eligibility in the American Legion is based on honorable service with the U. S. Armed Forces between April 6, 1917 - November 11, 1918 (World War I) and December 7, 1941 to Present.  Members of the United States Space Force are also eligible.

Eligible veterans may apply  Join Online (New members can print their membership card with a temporary ID Number) or complete the American Legion Membership Application.  Print two (2) copies, keep a copy for your records and mail the other copy to:

Upon verification of your information, your membership will be approved, and a membership card will be mailed to you.
