Participate in worthwhile community projects. For a tax deductible donation, we will post your name on our Sponsors page and sponsored event materials showing the world that you support and appreciate our Veterans and brave men and women serving our country today. The American Legion Post 179 Auxiliary holds a semi-annual runnage sale to raise funds for our programs. Gently used household items, furniture and clthing are accepted. Call us at 830.625.0179 for drop-off or pick up information.
We are often in need of carpentry, electrician, pumbing and HVAC services, et.al. If you or your company are willing to donate services, more of our resources may be used for our programs.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization. Our events calendar shows upcoming events from hosting golf tournaments to working grill stations to Post cleanup days, and we welcome volunteers from our membership and the community. Membership dues contribute to programs at the local, state and national level. Check out our membership page for eligibility requirements for our American Legion family of organizations.
Frequent our bar, rent our hall, order a coin or flag, or honor a Veteran you kow on our Wall of Honor. Proceeds from these support our Post and our programs.
